We’ve made it clear a few times that we feel that the Zune platform has progressed nicely since it’s inception, especially with the introduction of the Zune Pass, which we feel is the best deal in music today. Definitely something we recommend this holiday season. So much so, in fact, that we have put together a video showing off every Zune device that is currently available, as well as some of the cooler accessories available for the device set. We show off the Zune 80, Zune 120, Gears of War 2 Special Edition Zune, the flash Zunes, and even a Zune Originals piece.
On the accessories side, we give you a look at the Kicker stereo for Zune, a few cases, armbands, car accessories, and the Home A/V Kit. See? Told you we brought the goods to this one. Check out the video for the scoop on everything, and let us know if you end up picking any of it up.

This holiday season, consumers have three choices if they are wanting to buy a Microsoft Zune for themselves or a loved one. In this Federated Media Holiday Gadget Guide video post, we take a look at the Holiday 2007 Microsoft Zune lineup in detail. In the video we compare the old-school Zune 30 GB with the new Zune 2 lineup - the Zune 80 and the Zune 8. The Zune 80 is a hard drive based Zune that holds up to 80 GB of content, while the Zune 8 and Zune 4 are the new flash based Zune players, holding 8 GB and 4 GB of media respectively. Check out the video for the full scoop on the complete Zune lineup available this holiday season.

One of the big selling points that Microsoft is pushing with the Zune is the way that it can easily transfer music from one Zune device to another. Think about it - if you have a friend who owns a Zune, or if you happen to bump into someone on the subway who happens to be bumping one, you can quickly send over your favorite Fergie track in just a few seconds. Of course, you would actually have to find someone who owns a Zune first, and we have yet to meet anyone who even knows what a Zune is. Nevertheless, check out the video to see the admittedly slick Zune-to-Zune song transfers in action.

Okay, so the Microsoft Zune launches on Tuesday, and we are just positive that you just have to know what it looks like on the inside, right? No? Well, hopefully you enjoy our Zune disassembly video nonetheless, because we show you all the innards that comprise the Zune and make the device tick. Heck, we even put it back together as a FrankenZune, and then put it all back together in super-fast motion. If that isn’t worth it, we don’t know what is…

Alright guys, we know how much you are looking forward to getting your hands on the Microsoft Zune. We get it. In fact, in an effort to satiate those of you who email us constantly asking for “behind-the-scenes” Zune information, you are in luck. The Gear Live crew was able to spend some time with a fully operational Zune, and we have the video footage to prove it. We walk you through the menu system and interface of the device, showing off a bunch of it’s features for you. Enjoy the video. Oh, and if you have any questions, feel free to let us know in the forums.
EDIT: Alright, we got a bit more information from Zune PR, and wanted to lay it on you, in case you were confused by anything stated in the video (or couldn’t hear it over the horrible trip hop beats). Just so we’re clear, here is the official status of Zune’s relationship to PlaysForSure: The PlaysForSure experience is designed to provide consumers with a consistent and guaranteed entertainment experience across the devices and services that are a part of the PFS ecosystem. Since Zune is a separate offering that is not part of the PlaysForSure ecosystem, Zune content is not supported on PlaysForSure devices. By the same token, Zune will work with Zune-specific content as well as non-DRM files.
