We bring you a first look at the Liquid Image Apex HD+ Wi-Fi snowboarding goggles from CES 2013. The Apex HD+ goggles have a built-in high definition video camera that can live stream to your iOS or Android phone or tablet, and can also record at 1080p 30fps or 720p 60fps, so you can show off you videos later. In addition, the Apex HD+ WiFi can also shoot still images. The camera itself is tilt-able within 30 degrees, so you can get a great angle regardless of your stance or activity. The Sensus Touch Case gives iPhone users 10-point touch input along the back and sides of the device, which means you can do things like play games by swiping along the back of the iPhone, leaving the display free and clear of your fingers. You can also do things like snap images by tapping the side of the phone, or zoom in and out of objects with a slide of your finger. Expect to see the case launch later this summer, priced somewhere between $59 and $99.

In this episode we show you how to install the Nest Learning Thermostat all on your own, using the simple instructions provided by the company in the box. Despite our love of tinkering with gadgets,It was a bit daunting to screw around with wires coming out of the wall. That said, it really is quite easy! Seriously - we've never done anything like this, ever, and were pretty unsure of ourselves, but as you see in the video, installing the Nest is a snap. As we've covered previously, the Nest Learning Thermostat monitors your temperature settings and aims to save you money by guiding you towards optimal settings, and also through its unique proximity sensors that can reduce energy consumption when it senses that no one is home. It connects to your home Wi-Fi network, and therefore it can be controlled from anywhere through the web interface or smartphone app.
