At the Connecting Your World event in Berlin, Germany, HP announced its hardiest line of laptops yet. The HP Elite notebook PCs have been engineered to resist drops, scratches, spills, anything that comes its way.
It also features a handy business card reader, and the HP Quicklook no-boot-required information display (not to be confused with Mac OSX’s Quick Look) puts information right at your fingertips.

The HP Outlook feature really sounds very interesting. I like the idea that you don’t have to totally boot up to check your e-mail. I also like that secure delete feature in the trash, giving different levels for trash disposal is a great.
I know apple has secure trash disposal, (great at tax time). I didn’t know the no boot required display for e-mail, and the business card reader was not a new feature. My laptop must be from the dark ages…:(
